  • 香港文匯報、明報、星島日報綜合外媒報導，個別城市的示威演變成暴力衝突，加州奧克蘭約 6000 名示威者走出馬路，焚燒垃圾，向防暴警察投擲雜物，甚至有人打破商店櫥窗。另有 300 人在洛杉磯佔領公路，癱瘓交通，車龍長達數公里。西雅圖在示威期間發生槍擊案，5 人中槍受傷，其中兩人情況危殆，警方暫未透露槍手及傷者的身份，但相信槍擊與反川普示威未必有關連。

    加州是民主黨傳統票倉，當地居民普遍難以接受川普勝出大選，有見英國脫歐的例子，不少加州民眾萌生獨立念頭。Uber 投資者、科技界鉅子皮謝韋爾透過 twittter 表示，他有意催生「讓加州變成獨立國家」的運動，並願意提供資助。政治組織 YesCalifornia 則打算在 2019 年發起「加獨」公投，為脫離美國鋪路。
